About
About
This delightful evening of comedy features two off-Broadway shows: 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood; and The Irish Curse, by Martin Casella.
5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche is an interactive absurdist comedy. The year is 1956, and the Sisters of the Susan B. Anthony Society of for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are eagerly anticipating their annual quiche breakfast. But when the communists invade America these daring women realise they may be the last humans alive. This show will leave you in tears of both joy and sadness and invites the audience into the wondrously silly world of a 50s high class ladies' society.
The Irish Curse brings the audience into this wonderful modern comedy with one central premise, 'how do I measure up to the next guy?' It centers on a support group for Irish Catholic men who struggle with their "Irish Curse": that is, being less than average in the groin department. The stories each of the men tell are a hilariously graphic, as well as heartfelt and touching, insight into the male psychology. It attempts to answer the question, once and for all, "does size really matter?"
