DRAMASOC is excited to announce that we are holding a workshop for actors and directors in May, presented by the talented Alice Canton!
Make first read-throughs count!
This is a chance to gather some tools in text analysis, casting, and character breakdown. Learn how to apply these processes to scenes in groups and pairs.
Great for actors wanting to develop self-directing skills, and directors wanting to grow a process for working with actors and scripts.
Alice is an acting graduate from Te Kura Toi Whakaari O Aotearoa: New Zealand Drama School. Since 2003, she has worked as a member of the Court Jesters at The Court Theatre in Christchurch as a professional improviser, tutor, and corporate entertainer. Alice teaches regularly in schools, intensive courses, and holiday programmes, and has performed with companies including Red Leap Theatre, Groupe F, Echelon Productions, and Two Productions. Alice is currently working as the Education Manager at The Court Theatre leading their education programme, and is Director of The Court Youth Company.

See you there!
